We honestly don't have a penny or much time to play around with joining communities, but if anybody is a member of sites like Metafilter, Zfilter, Fark, major political blogs like DailyKos , forums like Something Awful, eBaumsWorld and would like to help us raise traffic, it's greatly appreciated.

The incident :
Jennifer Strange (an employee of Radiological Associates of Sacramento/RAS), 28 died of hyperhydration on Friday Januray 12th, after participating in the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" contest in which radio station KDND 107.9 promised a Nintendo Wii Game System for the winner.

The contest
According to articles and audio recording, it was a competition as to how much water one can drink before needing to 'wee' (pee, urinate). The contest of holding urine COULD HAVE (SHOULD HAVE) been conducted by simply holding urine (for the same amount of water drank), large amounts of water as well as competing over quantity of water is neither relevant nor necessary (in fact VERY DANGEROUS).

The outrage:
1) People called in warning of the danger
2) DJs KNEW of the Cal State University Chico hazing incident (which many people do NOT know of)
3) DJs joking said contestants signed released forms which relieve them from responsibility (even death?)
4) DJs commented Jennifer's stomach looked like she was 3 months pregnant (a DANGEROUS sign one has consumed too much of ANYTHING)
5) DJs heard that Jennifer said she didn't feel very well.

We have no petition for you to sign, however, we stand behind Jennifer and other contestants' families 100% in holding the radio station accountable for the dangerous act of encouraging drinking large amounts of water
We ask only that you become aware of the dangers of water intoxication and alert your friends and family of this hazard.
We will NOT link any site selling Nintendo Wii.
We are not making this site to benefit/profit in any way, shape or form.
This site is not a joke, we consider the death of Jennifer Strange a serious incident that could've been prevented by some knowledge of health (or we would hope this becomes common sense from now on!)
